Claire Chan is a Senior Research Analyst at the Georgia Municipal Association. In this role she researches and compiles information to communicate the unique challenges and needs of cities. She uses data and lived experiences to tell the stories of local communities, whether it be to a state legislator, a member of Congress or the general public. Claire’s role at GMA involves building strategic partnerships between Georgia’s cities and key stakeholders, such as state and federal agencies, universities and nonprofits. What drives Claire is the opportunity to empower cities to be places where anyone can happily live, work and play. Claire is originally from Toronto, Ontario but grew up in Roswell, Georgia and for the last 20 years (and counting), has been lucky to call the Peach State her home. She graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Affairs. Go Jackets! Claire has a love/hate relationship with running, roots big time for the Atlanta Braves and will step into every antique or thrift store she sees.
