Kara Hope Hanson is the Marketing Manager at SGMC Health, a regional healthcare system in Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties in South Georgia. A Valdosta native, Kara Hope is a proud graduate of Valdosta State University. Her passion for building stronger communities is evident in her volunteer efforts, as she actively serves on the boards of the Valdosta City Schools Foundation and the Greater Valdosta United Way. She is a graduate of the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2019 and was named the 2022 Young Professional of the Year by the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce. Her work in healthcare marketing has earned national recognition and accolades from three industry award associations.
