Oscar Guzman, a Cedartown native, has worked with the City of Cedartown since 2014 and currently serves as the Director of Economic Development and Tourism. In this role, he oversees operations of the Main Street program, Downtown Development Authority, various grant initiatives, quality of life opportunities, and serves as Director of the Cedartown Performing Arts Center, Polk County’s largest entertainment venue that seats 940.
Oscar is currently vice-chair for the Polk County Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Cedartown Association board member, Highland Rivers Health Foundation board member, Polk Against Drugs board member, and Cedartown Exchange Club board member. Oscar is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics, a 2019 Leadership Georgia graduate, 2019 graduate of the Regional Economic and Leadership Development class for Georgia Academy for Economic Development, Georgia Main Street member, and Georgia Economic Developers Association member.
