Dr. Candice Millsap-Eaton, DCJ, is a Senior Criminal Justice Program Manager at Code for America. In her role, she leads national, bipartisan initiatives aimed at modernizing justice systems and expanding automatic record clearance across 15 states. With over a decade of experience at the intersection of policy, technology, and community advocacy, Candice is dedicated to advancing equitable and evidence-based reforms that empower marginalized communities and improve their interactions with historically harmful justice systems. Throughout her career, she has successfully translated bold and innovative ideas into measurable outcomes by strengthening reentry pathways and promoting sentencing reform. Outside of her professional work, Candice enjoys traveling with her husband, Johnnie, and their dog, Jeter. She is actively involved in her community, serving on the National Criminal Justice Association’s Restorative & Community Justice Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, the Urban League of Greater Columbus Young Professionals, and the Junior League of Columbus.
