Héctor Gutierrez is a councilman for the City of Forest Park and a Community Schools Coordinating Supervisor for Clayton County Public Schools, where he leads districtwide wraparound services that strengthen student success and family stability. A veteran, educator, and first-generation college graduate, Héctor’s commitment to equity is shaped by his journey from Uruguay to Georgia and his service to diverse communities. His work centers on housing access, community partnerships, and expanding opportunities for underserved families. Héctor has helped launch food pantries, mentorship programs, and citywide initiatives that improve quality of life across Forest Park and Clayton County. He also serves on multiple boards and committees, including the Forest Park Development Authority, GALEO Impact Fund, NALEO Educational Fund, and the United Way of Greater Atlanta. Recognized as a Georgia Trend 40 Under 40 honoree and a multi-year “50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia,” he champions collaborative solutions that uplift communities statewide.
