Councilwoman Hue Nguyen has been a dedicated and committed servant to the City of Morrow since her election to the City Council in January 2024. As the youngest current council member, she has focused on fostering economic development, enhancing community engagement, and improving parks for residents. Hue Nguyen was honored with the R.I.C.E. Award for Humanitarian of the Year 2024. The Rising in Community Excellence (RICE) Award recognizes unsung heroes across Georgia who have created and implemented programs that uplift communities and support vulnerable populations. Originally from Vietnam, Hue Nguyen moved to Morrow in 2002 and quickly began building after-school youth programs aimed at uplifting the community. She is passionate about creating opportunities for all residents and tirelessly advocates for diverse voices. Hue Nguyen holds a degree in Supply Chain Management and Marketing from Clayton State University, equipping her with critical skills in operations management for a Fortune Global 500 company and community development. In addition to her council and corporate work, she volunteers at food pantries and senior centers, administers welfare programs, collaborates with government affairs to build places of worship, and serves as a dedicated Sunday school teacher promoting education and cultural awareness. In her personal life, Hue enjoys spending time with her husband Ron, daughter Kaitlynn, and her parents. She loves engaging in local arts and culture and exploring different restaurants around the Perimeter.
