Demetrius McBride, MPA, is a solution-driven professional with over 10 years of combined experience in management and five years in educational training. He currently serves as a Finance Teacher at Shaw High School in the Muscogee County School District, where he develops lesson plans and fosters student success in finance education. Previously, Demetrius worked at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he excelled as a Subject Matter Expert in customer care and policy interpretation. His leadership experience also includes management roles at TitleMax Finance and Waffle House. A dedicated community leader, he is an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Leadership Columbus, and the founder of the Alpha Core of Excellence (A.C.E.) Mentorship program. In 2020, Demetrius was honored as a Five Under 40 Award recipient by *Columbus and the Valley Magazine*. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbus State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Albany State University.
