Amanda Brown is from Hartwell, Georgia and lives just outside of town with her husband and fifteen-year-old son. She has a background in managing her family’s small business and as a tax specialist. She is the new Executive Director of the Hart County Chamber of Commerce where she has worked for two years. Her strongest passion is in preserving local history and historic places. Because of this, she volunteers much of her time with Hartwell’s Main Street program. She also enjoys working in the community as part of the Pilot Club, Rotary Club, and the Hart County Board of Tax Assessors where she leads as past chairman and the most senior member of the team. She is a strong advocate for the arts and serves on the Hart Regional Art Council where her latest project is leading efforts to revive the community’s concert and symphonic band.
