Kristen Gorham serves as Deputy City Manager for the city of Chamblee, where she oversees several of the city’s day-to-day operations, including Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Community Engagement, Administrative Services, Municipal Court, and capital programs. Kristen has held various roles in local governments throughout Georgia, Florida, and Nevada before beginning with the City of Chamblee as a Senior Management Analyst in early 2019. She was promoted to Assistant City Manager in April 2020 and was appointed Deputy City Manager in December 2021. Kristen grew up in Frisco, Texas, and received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University before making her way to Athens to attend graduate school at the University of Georgia, where she received her Master of Public Administration. Kristen maintains professional affiliations with the Georgia City/County Manager’s Association (GCCMA), the International City Manager’s Association (ICMA), and Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). She also serves on the Assistants and Deputies Advisory Committee for ICMA. When she is not doing all things local government, Kristen enjoys hiking the north Georgia mountains, traveling, putting off home renovation projects, and spending time with her husband, Ryan, and their two dogs, Charlie and Jackson.
