Keon Nicholas-Aaron Berry is a Hartford native raised in Windsor, CT. Mr. Berry has been a Georgia resident since graduating from Morehouse College in 2020, where he studied Sociology as a Martin Luther King Jr. International Legacy Collection Scholar. After his tenure at Morehouse, Keon obtained a master’s degree in Education Entrepreneurship from the #1 Graduate School of Education in the country, the University of Pennsylvania, where he became the youngest person in the institution’s history to graduate from his program, which he successfully completed in one year’s time. In August of 2023, Mr. Berry will graduate from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, with a doctorate in Educational Leadership after just two short years of intensive training, writing, and coursework.
Keon N. Berry is an award-winning educator, visionary, and leader. In 2019, Mr. Berry was recognized by Forbes as an Under 30 scholar for his work with his youth mentoring program, Berry Academy, Inc. As a practitioner-scholar with a diverse background in education management, Keon N. Berry has worked for the City of Atlanta, the Urban League, Netflix, HBO, and the Walt Disney Corporation. On September 1st of, 2022, Keon was announced as the Director of Parent Services at Quality Care for Children, a premier state agency in Georgia dedicated to serving and protecting infants and young children. In his new role, Mr. Berry leads a team of about 15 staff members, covers the statewide ALLGAKIDS call center, and manages over 1 million dollars in funding at the age of 24. Keon utilizes equity, advocacy, and innovation principles to implement impactful changes within education, policy, research, and social welfare. In 2021, Keon N. Berry was recognized as one of 100 Men of Color for leading and trailblazing in educational reform. June 25th, 2021, was announced in Springfield, MA, as “Keon N. Berry Day” to celebrate his accomplishments and dedication to education.
