Taylor Cain

Athens, GA - University of Georgia School of Medicine

Taylor Cain serves as the Chief of Staff to the Founding Dean of the University of Georgia (UGA) School of Medicine where she provides strategic consultation and operational support for the creation of the new school of medicine. Taylor’s portfolio also includes oversight of the community and alumni engagement efforts for the current AU/UGA Medical Partnership. Joining UGA in 2013, Taylor spent nearly 11 years working in the Division of Student Affairs where she ultimately assumed the role of Assistant Dean of Students and inaugural Director of Engagement, Leadership, and Service. Additionally, she has volunteered and served on numerous boards and professional groups within higher education at an institutional, system-wide, statewide, and national level. Taylor holds a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of South Carolina. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from UGA’s College Student Affairs Administration program.
